Our cosy cottage bedrooms comprise 2 twin/superkings and 1 single/twin room with idyllic views to the North and South across the farmland. This is the perfect country retreat to escape to and relax for a few days. Each bedroom has a hairdryer, radio alarm, flat screen TV and gas centrally heated radiators with 15 tog duvets which along with our luxurious Egyptian cotton linen and towels will keep you snug and cosy.
The bathroom is bright and warm with heated towel rail, bath and over bath double shower with superb pressure to awaken you and we provide luxury Scottish handmade organic toiletries by Highland Soaps.
The large modern kitchen with dining for 6, has everything you need to make a family meal with plenty of pots & pans, crockery, cutlery, and glasses. Children’s bowls, cutlery, and a hand food processor are also provided for those families with young children. For high chair, cot, baby bath, etc please request when booking. Our luxury welcome basket for those self catering includes tea, coffee, sugar, fresh milk, cereal, orange juice, butter, shortbread, homemade preserve and bread as well as some of our own hens yummy eggs. The kitchen is complete with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer, coffee maker, microwave, oven and utensils. In your starter pack you will also find eco friendly washing and dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid in line with our Green Tourism Gold award. You may even enjoy washing the dishes as the view from the kitchen towards the Angus Glens is stunning, even more so when we have our highland cows and sheep roaming in the fields.
The lounge has a radio/CD player, 50” plasma TV with Freeview & DVD player, but you may not wish to view this as the huge Southernly window may be entertainment enough. Through this you can gaze over the wildlife garden, across the fields to Carrot Hill where there is a stunning viewpoint, car park and pleasant walk to find the neolithic stone, cairn and trig point. It is well worth the short drive to the car park at the top to appreciate the surrounding area. The large corner leather suite makes for comfortable evenings relaxing in front of the wood burning stove. A basket of logs will be provided for your stay and more can be purchased as required from the farm. There is also a selection of books as well as toys for the children. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement and the garden is fully enclosed. Outside there are drying areas for laundry, and with a barbecue and table and chairs for 6 you can enjoy the fresh Angus countryside air until the last rays of sunshine disappear.
Parking for three cars is situated beside the side entrance to the cottage which leads into the kitchen via 3 steps. There is a handrail for those requiring assistance. The front entrance is via 2 steps into the porch and hall. The wildlife garden to the front of the cottage is for guest use so please feel free to stroll in or watch the wildlife. Take care however not to disturb ground nesting birds in the spring, and we do try to leave it as natural as possible therefore may be overgrown at times through the year.
