Newton Farm Holidays on Newton of Fothringham Farm lies in a peaceful rural location, only 2 miles from the A90 (the main Aberdeen to Edinburgh road) in the County of Angus. We are on Fothringham Estate, a shooting Estate, near the village of Inverarity, 7 miles North of Dundee and 6 miles South of Forfar. The farmhouse’s central location means it is well placed to enjoy many activities. These include shopping, hill-walking in the Angus Glens, golfing with 32 courses in the surrounding area, fishing, shooting, cycling and there are many castles to explore including Glamis Castle (8 miles) and JM Barrie’s birthplace at Kirriemuir (10 miles).
The market town of Forfar is also lucky enough to have a wide choice of eating establishments to suit a range of tastes and budget.

From Edinburgh/Dundee: Travel approximately 6 miles North from Dundee on the A90. Watch for signage for Kirriemuir/Petterden & Nether Finlarg. This will give you advance warning of our turning. For those travelling without a car it can be tricky to reach us but not impossible. There are several bus stops on the A90 dual carriageway which is 2 miles from the farm and the local school bus stops at the end of our farm road.
